The Butterfly Effect
Hello lightworkers once again to my January blog. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and holiday blessings and again wishing you all a happy and prosperous new year.
This year in my blogs I’m going to integrate some of my other passions into my blogs along with spirituality, my love of conspiracy theories and cinema. I want to start with The Butterfly Effect to bring in the new year. Some of you may know of The Butterfly Effect theory and some of you may not. I first herd about this theory through the movie of the same title which stars Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart. It is a beautifully written and directed thriller which refers to the popular example of the chaos theory which illustrates how small differences may lead to large unforeseen consequences over time. We see Kutcher’s character Evan along with Amy’s character Kayleigh travel back and forth in time changing details to effect present moments.
In both The Chaos Theory and The Butterfly Effect it is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change on one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. Let’s look into this more deeply with some real life examples.
Adolf Hitler was denied by the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. This forced him to join the military in WW1 and his experiences in the military drastically shaped his views, if he was never denied into the academy and never been forced into the military, WW2 may never have happened and millions of lives would have been saved. But what if WW2 never happened, would our lives be much better off, or would our lives have been set back never knowing the value of life, loss and freedom to have your own views and beliefs? Now in no way shape or form am I agreeing with wars or what Hitler did but this event shaped our lives in some sort of way.
JFK’s assassination is another prime example. When JFK was a teenager he was injured through sport, with this injury he had to wear a back brace, at the time of the assassination he was wearing this back brace and when he got shot he was unable to fall forward to avoid the second fatal shot, he was upright. If JFK was never assassinated would he have been able to continue his good work and change the world from corruption? We’ll never know.
If Bill Gates never invented Microsoft, technology would not be where it is today and I would not be sitting here typing this blog on Microsoft Word to bring you this information, we may never have internet, Facebook, Instagram or any other type of media outlets to connect with people from all over the world, if we didn’t have this technology where would we be today?
You can pretty much use this theory in any event, just say you were referred to this blog post and while reading it in the comfort of your home, in the outside world a tragic event had taken place you were meant to be at but instead you stayed in for a few minutes and avoided being caught in the tragic event, would things be different? Everything in life has a cause and effect and you are here for a reason weather it’s causing the problem or a solution to a problem every life matters and we need both for growth within humanity, it also brings me to the question, is our life made of fate or free will? Do we consciously chose our path or is it already in motion? I’ll let you decide… I’ll leave you with this thought, live in the present moment, take that opportunity, ask that person out… don’t wait for tomorrow and don’t dwell on the past for our lives can change in an instant and you will never know what you might become or not become. I believe there is a path for everyone, it has been presented to us by fate, source energy but we are humans also and we have the capabilities of a brain to make free will and conscious decisions, some times it’s in our control and some times it is not but we just have to trust and have faith.
Until next time…
Love, Light & Blessings x
